Kirsten Jackson -- Editor-in-Chief 2010-2011

Hey, I’m Kirsten. I originate from Ohio, but have lived in Athens, Alabama for the past 9 years. I am excited to be here in Zachary my junior year. I have previous experience in both the journalism and broadcasting realms and hope to be a political analyst with a major news corporation. I love to blog and chronicle life as it happens. In this world, we all are the reporters…. I just get the privilege of sharing my news with you.

 

Britanny Martin -- Website Editor

Brittany Martin’s the name. I want to be a psychiatrist, so watch what you say, because I am guaranteed to psycho-analyze you. Half the things that come out of my mouth are sarcastic and the other half are in song. I love Disney movies and hate teeny-boppers. You will rarely see me without my iPod and my hair color does not last long. I love to quote and so I conclude: “Life is just a phase you're going through...you'll get over it.”

 

Megan Morenc --Copy Editor

I am Meghan Morenc, and I hate my last name. One day in the near future, I will be an infamous writer, but you probably will not even know it is me because I am definitely using a penname. What am I thinking about for the future? Nothing: I go one day at a time, and right now I am just trying to get through junior year unscathed! I know big words and I strongly believe that writer’s block is a contagious disease. I am not here to write about how amazing I am – I am a black cloud of doom!

 

Chloe Harrell -- Staff Writer

I enjoy shopping, eating, and sleeping. I am into the latest styles and fashion. My favorite store is BCBG MaxAzria. I am totally obsessed with playing Guitar Hero and am proud to say that I successfully aggravate Brittany Martin in journalism class everyday. I am a junior at Zachary High School.

 

Sarah Fee -- Staff Writer

My name is Sarah Elizabeth Fee, but that is only what society calls me – it is not who I am.   I'm very happy that I have survived 16 years and soon to be 17 years of life. Here at Zachary High, I am proud to call myself a junior. ZHS is only a comma in my life, but it is an important comma. I will neither neglect nor forget it. I have been on the Hoofprints staff for two years now and am still enjoying it!  

 

Zach Holley -- Staff Writer

Hello everybody! My name is Zach Holley. I would assume not many of you know me because I just started coming to Zachary schools my freshman year. I am a junior now, and I figured why not go into Journalism. I am very excited about being on the Hoofprints staff.

 

 

Kirsten Mixon -- Staff Writer/Staff Photographer

A lot of people know me as "that short kid". I am not really that short. I am a sophomore at Zachary High, and this is my first year on Hoofprints. I love being a part of the staff! Photography is my passion, and I enjoy interviewing people. These will probably be my high points in the paper. I adore good music. My favorite time of the year is football season. Friends are my inspiration for almost everything, and I am an optimist.

 

 

Breshaunya Young -- Staff Writer

My name is Breshaunya Young and I am junior here at Zachary High School. I am in the Future Teachers of America club so that after high school I can become a daycare teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my grandma and my nephew (Kaleb). This is my second year on the Hoofprints staff.
